Marriage of foreigners
The marriage of foreigners and the authentication of their marriage take place in the Office of the Marriage of foreigners either in the Ministry of Justice in Cairo, or in the real estate notarization and authentication office at the Alexandria Courts Complex in Manshia (Alexandria)
Conditions of the Egyptian party’s marriage to a male or female foreigner
The presence of husband and wife in person or a power of attorney may be used in certain cases.
The age difference between spouses shall not exceed 25 years if the Egyptian party is female.
The Egyptian party must hold a national identity card proving his/her nationality and religion.
A military service certificate for the male Egyptian party.
If the Egyptian party is a female, a computerized birth certificate is a must.
Medical examination certificates for both spouses (issued by any health office) and a personal photo of each of the spouses shall be placed on his/her certificates.
For the foreign party, a valid passport must be in place along with referring to the Administration of passport in order to verify the valid residence.
The residence must be for non-tourist purposes in case the wife is a citizen of the former Soviet Union.
A certificate of “No objection” issued by the embassy of the foreign country in Arabic in which the competent authority certifies that Ms./ Mrs. / Mr …………
Religion:……………..,
Nationality: ………………… has never been married before, married and he / she is now divorced, has / has no children, and there is no objection to his /her marriage, and this certificate shall be authenticated by the said Embassy and then by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the case the foreign husband or wife has no actual religion, he or she must declare joining a certain religion (for example, declaring Islam in Al-Azhar and obtaining a certificate thereof)

In case of absentee divorce, there are some nationalities in which absentee divorce is difficult, such as the Russian, British and Italian ones
Note:
Upon the authentication of the marriage contracts of foreigners at the Alexandria Courts Complex, you can receive the documents on the same day of the marriage contract. However, in case of its authentication in the Ministry of Justice in Cairo, the marriage contract is received within two weeks or 10 days.

Conditions of issuing foreigners power of attorney
In order to make a power of attorney for a foreigner, the foreigner party must be present in person, holding a passport containing a valid residence seal.
Second: a certified translator must be present before the real state notarization and authentication office, since he is one of the legal elements necessary for issuing foreigners’ power of attorney.
